Nestled among beautiful rocky outcrops, surrounded by pristine lakes and forested hills, Minden, in the heart of cottage country, offers a warm friendly welcome to visitors all year round. Early settlers, in the mid 1800s were drawn to the area by the vast timber reserves and then took up farming as the logging industry dwindled. Following WWII the area grew as a popular tourist destination and, today, thousands of city dwellers escape here to resorts and cottages for fun and relaxation.

Stroll through the picturesque streets of this charming village. Visit Minden Hills Museum, depicting early pioneer life and, in the same log building as the Museum, spend time in the Agnes Jamieson Gallery, featuring the artist Andre Lapine as well as local and regional artists and craftspeople. You can golf, swim, fish, kayak, cross-country ski and snowmobile at the area's excellent facilities.
