Lake Huron provides the setting for Ontario's West Coast. Given the number of lakes that Ontario has, it takes some spectacular features to make this region so popular. Bluffs, sand dunes (check out Pinery Provincial Park in Grand Bend), provincial parks with rare ecosystems are some of the natural features of this Ontario region.
On the cultural side, Grand Bend - a long time summer vacation spot - has the Huron Country Playhouse. A half hour from Goderich is the Blyth Festival while in Goderich itself is the Huron Historic Gaol. Petrolia, in southern part of the region has the Victoria Playhouse.
Sarnia is at the junction of Lake Huron and the St. Clair River and has bridge access to the USA.
Accommodations for Ontario's West Coast include hotels, motels, resorts, bed and breakfasts and campgrounds.
