Dryden is located in the southwestern corner of Ontario, midway between Thunder Bay and Winnipeg. It is well known for its welcoming mascot, Max the Moose, standing 18 feet tall and weighing nine tons.

Visitor activities include paddling rivers and lakes north to Hudson Bay, where canoe trips span hundreds of miles in length, or they can select hiking, mountain biking, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking through white-water on the vast river systems, and diving in underwater caves. Dryden is in the centre of some of the best sport fishing in the world providing miles of fishing for walleye, pike, muskie, and bass.

Relaxing at a wide choice of public beaches, strolling through an array of parks and pathways can top off your day or take in a movie at either the walk-in or drive-in theatres. Local museums provide opportunities to explore the rich history of the area.
