A United Empire Loyalist settlement in the 1780s, Fort Erie is a major border crossing between Canada and the United States via the Peace Bridge. The Niagara River Parkway extends along the Niagara River from Fort Erie to Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake with a scattering of parks all along this picturesque route.

A historical museum, railroad Museum, and Old Fort Erie provide travelers with a step back in history. Old Fort Erie was restored in 1939 as an impressive edifice with a drawbridge, bastions and displays of weapons from the early 19th century. Reenactments of battles are presented at the Fort annually in mid August.

Fort Erie accommodation located in the heart of the majestic Niagara Falls area offers an abundance of choice chain hotels, motels, and bed and breakfasts.

We are conveniently located near the Peace Bridge to Buffalo, N.Y., as well as Fort Erie Race Track and Old Fort Erie. A nearby service, National Helicopters, gives its customers a bird's eye view of the thundering majesty of Niagara Falls.
