New Liskeard is part of the Temiskaming Shores municipality.  New Liskeard -- named after Liskeard in Cornwall -- was made a city in 1901 with descendants of the town's first mayor still living in the area.  New Liskeard joined with Dymond and Haileybury in 2004.

New Liskeard also takes advantage of the outdoors with Lake Timiskaming at its doorstep with fishing, hunting, boating, canoeing and more all available.

With the province of Quebec across the lake, there is a great cultural diversity in the area with English, French and First Nations heritage.

New Liskeard accommodations includes hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts and campgrounds.

Our New Liskeard hotel is near Lake Temiskaming, in southeast Ontario, minutes from Collège Boréal the Temiskaming Wildlife Centre (formerly the Earlton Zoo). Nearby Pete's Dam Park features a beautiful waterfall and miles of groomed trails for hiking, jogging and biking.
