Windsor, located at the extreme southwest tip of Ontario, just across the river from Detroit, is one of the busiest border crossings in Canada. The Charlie Brooks Memorial Peace Fountain, floating in the Detroit River, is one of the largest of its kind in North America, with breath-taking water displays from May to October. Tour the Hiram Walker & Sons Distillery in nearby Walkerville where the famous Canadian Club whisky is made and shipped to over 150 countries. Don't miss the restored Fort Malden National Historic site 29 km (18 mi.) south of Windsor.
