Grafton is located on the Heritage Highway Tour Route which includes the Apple Route of Ontario. Several of its old buildings have been restored retaining much of the original architecture and stone façade.

Restoration of Barnum House has been an outstanding undertaking by this heritage minded community. Original paint colours and wallpaper were reproduced to illustrate Eliakim and Hannah's Barnum's decorating schemes of the 1820-40 period. At the rear of the house, a two-storey addition was constructed where an original drive shed once stood. A museum and community heritage resource centre enhance this architectural masterpiece.

The cultural landscapes are reflected in this unique historic village offering dining in a historic village inn or browsing shops and antique stores. Residents live, work, and play in a safe, family-oriented community, close to the stellar scenic hills of Northumberland County. Sports, recreation, arts, and festivals draw locals and tourists from miles around.

Grafton accommodations impress visitors with selections of Bed and Breakfasts, Inns, Cottages, and Campgrounds.
