You may go for the beach, but there's more than that at Wasaga Beach.
Wasaga Beach is located on Southern Georgian Bay, in the heart of one of Ontario's most beautiful vacation destinations. Wasaga Beach is 90 minutes by car from Toronto.
Wasaga Beach features eight different beaches and recreation areas located on the world's longest fresh water beach, which is 14 km (8.7 mi.) of white sand. Wasaga Beach Provincial Park was the first Canadian provincial park to receive the Blue Flag designation for managing the shoreline to international environmental standards. The park is also known for hiking, cross-country skiing, sand dunes, a pine-oak forest, and an historic site with military re-enactments.
In winter, don't forget Wasaga Beach as the town offers skating, hockey and snowmobiling. Skiing and snowboarding is available at nearby Blue Mountain, Horseshoe Valley, Snow Valley and Mount St. Louis Moonstone.
Wasaga Beach accommodations include bed and breakfasts, hotels, motels, and campgrounds.
